Life Cycle Assessment

The Life Cycle?Assessments(LCA)?team?at SGRS supports all businesses in APAC by assessing the environmental footprint of our offerings and integrating sustainability into product innovation. We quantify product environmental impacts and carbon footprints using the LCA method. Sustainability objectives are embedded in our innovation matrix, with LCA results serving as a key criterion in our innovation decision-making process.

What is an LCA

1

An LCA is a comprehensive evaluation that helps us understand the entire environmental footprint of a product or process. A product generates impacts throughout its entire life cycle. For instance, a construction product affects the environment from the extraction of raw materials, production, distribution, and installation to its use phase and end of life. The assessment also goes beyond just measuring the carbon footprint; it provides insights into numerous environmental impacts, including energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and water usage.

At Saint-Goban, we use LCA as a common language for quantifying and communicating information about our environmental performance to various stakeholders. We adopt internationally standardized method, following ISO 14040 and 14044.
