The outer circle of the bearing ring often needs to be processed by a through-centerless grinding. In general, segmented centerless grinding can achieve very high precision. Mainly divided into coarse grinding, semi-finishing, fine grinding. At each stage, sufficient allowance is removed to ensure that the next section of the grinding does not cause problems such as burns or seismograms. The refined product can achieve the dimensional accuracy of the finished product. Centerless grinding is also used to machine small-sized rolling elements such as rollers and needles.

Some large-sized bearing outer rings and rollers are machined using a plunge-cut or oscillating external grinding mill. The grinding process is divided into coarse grinding, semi-finishing, fine grinding and non-sparking grinding because of the different application parameters. The outer channel grinding of the inner ring is also a kind of outer circle processing.

Both the inner ring inner bore machining of the bearing and the inner raceway machining of the outer ring can be machined by the inner circular mill through a plunge or oscillating type. The grinding process is divided into coarse grinding, semi-finishing, fine grinding and non-sparking grinding because of the different application parameters. Inner ring machining is called inner hole grinding. The outer ring machining is called the outer ring inner race grinding. Since the inner race of the outer ring is in direct contact with the rolling elements, the machining accuracy is usually higher than that of the inner ring.

For small and medium-sized bearing ring end faces, it is usually machined by double-end grinding. The thickness tolerances, flatness and parallelism of the bearing rings are guaranteed by this grinding method. For large-size bearing rings, the end face grinding of the sand tiles is usually used for machining.
